General terms of use of the website and of booking a stay at Guesthouse Electra.

1. Identification and contact information

2. Nature of the service
Guesthouse Electra provides an online booking service for stays at the accommodation located in [location, Italy]. Through the website you can check availability, make bookings, and complete payment independently.
3. Limitation of liability
The Owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the site or the services offered, except as otherwise provided by mandatory law. Availability of the site and of the booking systems is not guaranteed on a continuous basis and may be subject to interruptions for maintenance or force majeure.
4. User accounts and content restrictions
You can book either by creating an account or as an unregistered guest. In both cases, you agree to provide truthful, up-to-date, and complete information. It is forbidden to use the site for unlawful purposes or to submit content (for example in note or request fields) that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful.
5. Bookings, prices, payments and cancellation
Minimum age
Bookings may only be made by persons of legal age (18 years old). We reserve the right to decline a booking for good cause.
Confirmation
After completing the booking and payment, the guest will receive a confirmation e-mail with a summary of the stay (dates, amount, applicable conditions).
Payment methods
Online payments are securely processed via Stripe. Depending on the guest's country and device, one or more of the following methods may be offered at checkout:
- Credit and debit cards
- Digital wallets: Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Link
- Klarna (installment payment)
- Local payment methods, shown automatically based on the guest's country: Bancontact (Belgium), BLIK (Poland), EPS (Austria), MB WAY (Portugal), Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, PAYCO and Samsung Pay (South Korea), Pix (Brazil)
How booking payment works
The amount charged online at the time of booking depends on the number of nights booked:
One-night stay
If the booking is for a single night, the full amount of the stay must be paid online at the time of booking.
Multi-night stay
If the booking is for more than one night, only the amount for the first night is charged online, as a deposit. The remaining balance, including any surcharge for additional guests, must be paid directly at the property at check-in.
Prices
All prices are in Euros and include VAT where applicable, unless otherwise indicated. Prices may change without notice, but the price confirmed at the time of booking remains valid for that booking.
Additional guest surcharge
The base rate is calculated for 2 guests. A fixed surcharge of € 40 per guest applies for each additional guest beyond the first.
Children
- Children under 3 years old stay free and may use a crib at no cost, upon request at the time of booking.
- Children aged 3 and over are considered guests in all respects and pay the standard rate/surcharge.
Cancellation and refund policy
- Cancellation made more than 7 days before the check-in date: full refund (100%).
- Cancellation made within 7 days of the check-in date: partial refund equal to the amount paid.
- No-show at check-in: the booking is cancelled and no refund is due (0%).
Refunds are processed to the original payment method, and crediting times depend on the bank or payment network used (typically 5-10 business days).
6. House rules
- The property is not available for parties, events, or receptions of any kind.
- Check-in: from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Guests expecting to arrive outside this window must inform the property in advance.
- Check-out: from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
- No smoking: smoking is not permitted inside the property.
- Quiet hours: from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, out of respect for other guests and neighbours.
- Pets: allowed upon prior request, at no additional cost.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in early termination of the stay, in accordance with applicable law.
7. Withdrawal and applicable law
Pursuant to Article 59, paragraph 1, letter n) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), the 14-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply to accommodation services provided for purposes other than residential use, when the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance. The cancellation policy described in Section 5 therefore applies exclusively.
8. Safety information and instructions for use
Guests must use the property and its furnishings with reasonable care and in accordance with the instructions provided on site. Any damage caused by improper use may be charged to the responsible guest.
